It's fitting that you titled this auf Deutsch, as this legend---like so many other fairy tale legends in Western Europe---came to us via the Grimm brothers (Jakob and Wilhelm), in their landmark collection from the 19th C. I love how you have Rapunzel's braid shooting out the window, as if someone was climbing on it. (Maybe the Prince.) I love how straight it is! It's like a huge cable for cable cars! And Rapunzel doesn't seem to mind: If someone pulled on my hair that way, I'd scream at the top of my lungs! As always, you dressed her consummately---this time in a very full gown (I assume with bustle underneath), with beautiful details, and with beautiful light on her upper torso, as well as on her hair. Her cat is standing on panpipes? Is that what those are? I like them there. And the interior is made of fine old stone, with veins all over it. And she looks out over a beautiful mountain view. The light is perfect too...A beautiful evocation of the old legend. Terrific work, Ute! I'm now at 1 hour and 55 minutes, in your gallery, and unfortunately I have to leave. I hope to be back sooner than last time; but as always, it's a great pleasure to comment here, you have a cornucopia of imagination and love in this gallery: Everything is beautifully done. I hope your June is wonderful!
