Description
Captured 5/12/16 @ 11:20 am, at the beautiful La Mirada Regional Park in beautiful La Mirada, California.
The rodent was examining the empty peanut shell it had just cracked open and emptied of its contents.
And it was hopping and leaping around at warp speed, making it exceedingly difficult to photograph. I'm not that good at action shots as it is.

It's so cute... Marvelous picture Harry !!!
a cute creature
You got a great capture of this very cute little squirrel. We don't have them down here so I love seeing them. ☺
Aww, he's hoping those nuts have regenerated inside their shells! You did a great job of catching him mid-scurry. Excellent shot!
Yeah, squirrels can be very uncooperative with the camera. (In the park near me, they're so used to being fed, they walk up to you and beg. And I mean, they'll stand there until you GIVE them something...) For a single shot of a squirrel, you composed it really well, and his textures make fine harmony/contrast with the grass textures. And, with denise, you captured it in motion quite well. (And Nancy/npauling has no squirrels where she lives? I know she's in New Zealand---there aren't squirrels down there? Sheee-it! I thought squirrels were like cockroaches or ants---I thought they were just about everywhere. I can't imagine the outside without squirrels...)
