Description
Happy Birthday dear Steve...
I wrote your name in the sky,
but the wind blew it away.
I wrote your name in the sand,
but the waves washed it away.
I wrote your name in my heart,
and forever it will stay.

This, too, I am sorry I didn't comment on when you posted it. I did a post myself, that day, and I hadn't come to the galleries yet. But I know you've had several deep losses, and I know they will be with you forever. Yet, you've commemorated your beloved son with an image of great love, and a mystical sense of devotion. I don't know the personal meaning of the book in his hands (or someone's hands); but to your viewers, it looks like a book of pieces of the deep past; it's almost ancient in an almost ancient script. It's worn by years of reading and writing, and it feels like generations are contained in it; it feels sacred. (And I think you have it on the top of the image too. It looks like it, at least...) You have a weeping woman in the background---maybe someone in your life, I don't know---who speaks for you and all who knew Steve. And a bridge that goes into a deep and mysterious light. He looked like a very soulful person, Ute, deep eyes and a very inviting face. And you commemorated him beautifully; with deep introspective tones, and a sense of light beyond the horizon. And your words, "Nur, wer vergessen wird, ist tot. Du wirst in unseren Erinnerungen immer weiterleben..." are beautiful. He is alive in all of you. My deepest sympathies for your losses, and I hope your glowing memories of these dear souls keeps them alive forever. You've done very touching memorials to them, and allowed their light to travel to the corners of the globe. Bless you...
Beautiful dedication Ute!
:(big hugs sweetie!
