Ralphie has PTSD from his unpleasant previous life, and was completely traumatised this afternoon when the smoke alarm went off.
Fritz is doing his usual great job of calming his brother down, which together with being wrapped in a blanket, usually works.

Another example of animals showing true emotion. These are beautiful pups and obviously care very much about each other. It still amazes me when susposedly educated people claim that animals have no emotions.

This photo just gave me an ahh haa moment. We have a rescue cat who gets scared over seemingly silly things...now I wonder if he also might have the critter version of PTSD It would certainly explain a lot of his behavior. Thanks for posting these sweet photos of your doggies. I hope Ralphie is feeling better now.
