Description
My work after sunset tonight.
Did a setup on the other side of the power station dam looking towards the power station where i work as all of you know.
Things are not well here. A few days ago after putting one of the generators on load a cable on the generator switch exploded.
The fire brigade was called out to stop the fire to cause more damage.
Lots of damage was caused by the fire in our red switch house.
I can share more wrongs at our power station but i will not bore everyone with it.
Camera was mounted on tripod.
Camera was selected on Manual/Bulb setting.
Made use of shutter release cable.
Kept the shutter locked for 40 seconds.
This was my last capture of today.
God bless.

wonderful shot.
hope no one was injured and that recovery is underway
No one was injured my friend, but i can shed more. A few days before this happening they had Generator Transformer 5 on load. They received a rotor earth fault light. When this happen one has to take the machine off load immediately. When they tried to open the circuit breaker it did not want to open which never in our stations life span happened thus far. They did manage to open the circuit breaker later on manually in the blue switch house. I can share more. I fear that somebody will be injured or killed in future due to the fact that safety at our power station not being on standard. I do not want to be there when it happens. It is not that super visors and personell higher up are not aware of this. They are fully aware of what is going on at our power station. God bless.
Superb shot, very well done!
It seems you should maybe look for another job, Christo. The bosses need shaming.
I like this one better than the other, but they are both super photos.
wonderful work
What a fantastic sight this is. A really great shot, but I worry, when I read what happens there. I say like Andrea. Maybe look for a better job than that. It doesnt seem to be safe to work there.
This one has an air of mystery to it and as you say it has got a hidden past. Not the best place to work I fear. ☺
You have captured a very fascinating atmosphere !!!!!
Your photo is wonderful, and very interesting too, my friend. But I hope things are under control by now, and nobody was a victim or something. God bless.
