Wonderful capture of the sugar cane workers, Jock. I didn't know they grew that stuff in Louisiana.
A fascinating scene with rich colors. Fabulous painted, Jock!
beautiful painting
This is so close to home, as we have sugarcane fields, just a few minutes down the road from us... A fine painting Jocko.
A very luminous painting, Jock, every part of it shimmers with light and energy. Your lowest section rushes past us like a river, I love your rushed brushstrokes---with whites and blacks to make it glisten. And the background grasses have such vivid greens; and you use lots of short vertical lines in a row, to give those grasses a constant 'pulse'. (Those greens are stunning!) You have stunning green in the truck-side as well. And the men are luminous too, esp the two men wearing blue: You've used white highlights beautifully, making their clothes 'shine' as if they were giving off great energies. The painting is sandwiched from top layers to bottom; and there is real intensity in it, throughout. Another glistening radiating painting from you, with wonderful and powerful hues and light.
this is in my fav now because I love the special mood and design of the picture 😃
