Description

Somewhere beyond time and space, where yesterday and never meet, their exists a group of beings who stand watch over life. They are timeless and their goal is to insure order in the universe and to perpetuate the balance of cause and effect, this is the abode of the Watchers. Modeled in Carrara, rendered in Vue and post work applied in Photoshop. Enjoy

Ah, the watchers. Sent to watch over and protect man from Satan and his demons, they became enamored with the daughters of men and begat with them. Giants, which couldn't be born normally - the poor women grew until they burst. The watchers then took their offspring and left the poor women to die of bleeding or infection, their guts hanging out. The giants ate everything they could get their hands on, including humans and each other. Sources: Book of Enoch and other extra-Biblical pre-Bible sources. Genesis 6 is only a brief summary of what was available and well known to Moses and the Hebrews alive at the time. We are fortunate Moses wrote his abbreviated account for us. As for your image, good work. Keep it up! :-)
