Hi, everybody. It's been a long, dry spell for me. I've been working on my master's degree for the last four years, and I've been working four jobs during that time. Not whining, just letting you know my creative juices have been at a low ebb. Well, new project. The other day, on Facebook, I saw one of those things that says something like, "FIND OUT YOUR ______________ NAME." I'm not interested in these little formulae, usually, but since this one had to do with Star Wars (I've ALWAYS been a fan since the first weekend the very first Star Wars movie came out.), I thought I'd see what my "droid name" would be. It came out M1N1. CLEARLY, that resembles "mini," and was too good to pass up, so I'm posting the droid I designed. Model is Rhinoceros. Bitmap textures hand painted by me. Shaders modified RenderMan shaders. Purpose of the droid is repair in small spaces, with the droid being the size shown in the Renderosity thumbnail. Specifically designed for conduits and small spaces not navigable by humans or small aliens. :)
