The bodies and faces look a bit crude, but the hands and arms seem more well-defined. I wonder what the history is for these? Fascinating!

Yes, indeed it makes you wonder if the room was actually intended as a ballroom or something else. Maybe the designer hated dancing and felt like it was a type of torture. :)
