One of my step-brothers has been interested in bamboo for many years and has four or five different types growing in his yard. They are all beautiful as is this one but he has to keep his eye on them as they do love to spread their wings.

My son gave me a small pot of bamboo several years ago for my birthday. It's now grown into 3 separate, BIG clumps, all of which are about 20' high. I love it, and also have some in pots. I had to cut some big canes down a month ago; they were invading my driveway, but now I have 20' bamboo poles!!! This is gorgeous!!

Ok, so from some of the comments, this is bamboo. I'd have never known. But it's a big bold shot of a big leaf, and you've done your split postwork work again, with that front leaf (two or three actually) left 'real', but the rest in postworked. And, once again, it works. I really love that split treatment. In full size, it's really commanding. And if it's not invasive, it sure is "present". A big in your face capture of a big central leaf; and the lines on it rush, too...
I also like the split postwork you have done.
