Very nice!
wow, you've turned it into a mosaic, almost. Or a painting done on stone. If you did this through individual paint strokes, kudos: That's a lot of work. You granulated the painting so it looks very graphic, and also it has a highly stone-like facade. I love the transformation. And it just shows how digital filters (which transform paintings in 2 seconds) don't come close to doing this by hand. This almost looks like he's playing in the snow. Or, better, he's being filtered through the ages. It must've taken concentration to let his shirt patterns fade into the glitter: They don't 'take over' the glitter, they do dialogue with it. And ditto everything else, incl his face. Also, there's a lot more shadow here, making it a more retrospective version, as if we're seeing him through many years of time. An image from another age...It's almost nostalgic; and his inner life comes through more. Terrific work, Jock. This whole series is wonderful. And, as always, you capture the spirit of musicians to a tee.
Really an interesting treatment of a very fine work of art. Very creative ideas Jocko. You are a wonderful talent.
Cool! The glitter gives this a wonderful feeling.
Rosin on the bow, and here we go. Cool interpretation of a painting done on a surface of sand, Jock.
This looks great, Jock! I can imagine how it must sparkle in the light. Awesome painting, my friend!
