I'm not quite sure how I did this, but I liked it when I saw it. Sometimes cities just kinda feel like that!!1

I could not agree more...sometimes cities DO feel like that. :)
I HATE high rise, so this makes it less oppressive!
Great capture
LOL! The famous Dutch tilt...great view!
Denise refers to the "Dutch Tilt". It's also sometimes called the "German Tilt". It was used all the way back in silent films---if you ever see some of those old Expressionistic films, you'll see tilted shots, made to make the scene look skewed and psychologically off-balance. But your shot isn't skewed or filled with tension: It's just a great take on that skyline. I love the tilt, it makes us see the 'design' all the more, because it removes our usual associations with "buildings" and "marinas," etc. (This is the kind of exercise we were given, as yogis, to free our minds: Ie, wake after meditation, and see nothing but color and form, rather than "room" and "carpet," etc. So you did a zen take on Chicago...) Love the look of it. And very sweet light, as well as deep shadow, and deep blue water. And sweet play of the masts as the "roots" of all those high rises. Love this shot.
