Description
This old, dead tree stood by the roadside about halfway between the Last Stand Hill and the Reno-Benteen battle site. I wondered if it was alive 140 years ago and witnesses the carnage of the battle.

It's a beautiful old tree, great capture!
great subject and quality
A stark depiction of the landscape at the battlefield. Nature witnesses all that happens.
impressive
Certainly some of it.. Now, if this was here, they would have built a housing estate for immigrants on it.. (I'm not kidding about that either..) Rob
@ debbielove: If that had been somewhere else, maybe they would have done it here too, at least some developer would have tried to make some money off this, but it is on the Crow (Indian reservation) and that would make it a little more difficult, nearly impossible. But the Americans are actually pretty good in preserving their (short) history.
