Description
Somebody gave me this years ago,
It is a juvenile spiny pufferfish and rather difficult to dust.

Excellent,
oh, it would eat up any duster on earth, lol. I wonder what it's made of. (If it's for children, then I assume it's made of a spongy soft plastic.) In any case it makes a smashing photo; and your all-black surroundings make it like a gallery piece, something on display. The side view lets us see its great eyes and mouth, and it's "ear" (that fin on top). A fine job in making this a portrait. It's striking, Andrea. You have so many amazing things in your home...
It's real ! They dry well.
Nice!
Wicked gift and cool photo
i remember it
Cool foto;my first thought was, a chestnut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HA! Think to have such a funny fish in your home. Glad you dont have it alive in a fishbowl :)
What an unusual gift!!!! Super pic.
Just right for playing handball with.
I had no idea that they dry well and could be kept as a keepsake! How unique! Great shot!
Cool
lol. do not touch it . cool shot
I do believe it should be under glass as I can see a bit of blood shed in the dusting process! It is a very cool photo though. On my bucket list is a chance to go diving in a tropical place that has wonderful creatures like this.
I had a friend once who had one of these hanging from his ceiling. If you are wandering around at night with the lights off it can scare the hell out of you. The Japanese name for these fish is Fugu and their livers are considered a delicacy. The liver is also highly poisonous and serving it was banned in 1984. This is a particularly handsome example and a cracking picture.
fascinating
An oddly endearing creature! I'd get a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of it, that would be the only way it might work. That or soak it in water...wonderful shot of this fellow!
Very nice capture Andrea. Looks like the shell of a chestnut.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Nice capture of this weird looking fish Andrea!
Yikes what a wonderful conversation piece.
The beak and blood shot eye are very fascinating !
