Wait a minute....haven't I seen this configuration before of either Ulysses S Grant or Robert E Lee, astride their steeds, situated atop a structure, that I have no idea of the purpose of? Oh well, whatever...yada yada. This is one interesting juxtaposition of the barren trees in the foreground, contrasted against the aforementioned structure in the background, Mark, entirely displayed in a sepia-like atmosphere.

This reminds me of those senior pranks kids do the last weeks of school--putting some off the wall object in a tree or on a roof, or somewhere really silly. Your high key effect is great; makes the piece even more compelling.

And, as a completely off the wall comment, but still sculpture-related---when I was in southern California last week, we passed a huge sculpture of one man balancing another on his finger tip. They were nude, but the piece was not quite anatomically correct. I won't go into detail, but I was the only one who saw it and was trying to explain to my sister with me in the car and my other sister on the phone what I was seeing. Needless to say, the conversation took a slightly hysterically funny tone and nobody ever did figure out what I was trying to tell them!! (but I REALLY did see it !!!)
