wow, I looked at the flickr version, and you have some incredible jackets! See, men are stuck with ties and maybe pocket handkerchiefs. But women’s styles put patterns everywhere. I love those jackets. And as for beige, I can’t see you in a beige outfit! It would blah you out totally. You’d probably throw it off as soon as you put it on. (In beige, I look like a socialist worker under Mao tse Tung. I don’t do beige well either. I know beige can be beautiful, but for me, I want to grab it and say, "Get a personality!!!")
Your postworked version is actually quite subdued, and it brings out the patterns, outlines, grain, textures, etc, to where we wind up looking at an abstract of beautiful patches and flows. It could be a closet of fabrics, alone, because your postwork brings out the pure fabric-art of these jackets. I also like how you have them arranged---don’t know if that’s random or choice, but you seem to have a lot of the floral patterns in the center. I love this image, Andrea, I really love it. When you do fabric---of any kind---you’re totally in your element. And you do it beautifully. Tara and I talk about visiting one day, and we've said many times that your place must be a cornucopia for the eye. This is just one example.
I personally believe that Beige is for those who have no lives whatsoever Great picture
Superb capture and post work Andrea. God bless.
Lots of lovely colours.
Lots of bright colours ,nice abstract.
Marvelous image realization !!!!
Well, you're certainly at no risk of being overlooked. I love this collection. Your post work seems to have intensified the colors. I can't imagine you were ever that subdued. I've found that since I retired I am making bolder choices in my attire. I'm sure the two are connected.
Andrea, I absolutely adore this shot. Superb idea and shot.
I love the riot of colours and patterns when fabrics are all combined like this; so much richer than isolating any one of them for focus. This is wonderful!
Beige should be against the law.
I have a friend here in Texas who loves beige. She finds it restful. She and her husband (who is worse about it than she is) find too much color to be over-stimulating. Well, to each their own! She and I have a running conversation about beige, because she loves it so much and I hate it so much. It's just for fun ... neither of us needs to change the other ... but I find beige to be almost nauseating. Do you remember me posting pictures of our house here? When we bought the place, everything was beige. Walls, floors, ceilings, cupboards, furniture ... everything. I left the ceiling alone, since it was quite pale, but everything else got "fixed."
Bless you for sharing your colorful closet. It's marvelous!
What a colorful wardrobe! This certainly seems to fit your friendly and outgoing personality! :)
coats of many colors
Coolness
Wow, this could be MY closet---I don't do beige either--love all the colors and patterns and I'll bet the fabrics are pretty great too!!
Wow what a beautiful collection. Guessing they all suit you very well Andrea.
I don't do pink, red or orange anything... Had bright orange/red hair as a child, now it looks ash blonde with all the grey in the mix as age goes by. But still don't do pink, red, orange or lime green..
