Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

I get nearly as much pleasure looking at your work as you do making it! My intentions for doing some myself failed, because it is still so warm that I am gardening!

ditto andrea, about the pleasure seeing your work. (As for not painting because of gardening...not so much, lol. I have other reasons/excuses...) Very strong presence in all these objects, and a smooth kind of light on them; and you've modeled them (given 3 dimensions) with a whole subtle array of hues. They aren't just shaded, they're transformed. I love the darker purples in the pitcher, and the darker greens in the bottle, and the very strong blues in those purple grapes. Even the bowl has a whole array of hues. And your brushstrokes are broad in many places, but contained too---I mean they work well together to articulate your surfaces. (They don't take over the objects.) You got a beautiful contrast of hues too, from bottle to pitcher to the fruits. (Eggplant is considered a fruit, so I can include it.) In a painting like this, the detail of hues and strokes are everything; even your dark purples in those apples, or your outlines, are all touches that bring this alive. (Your outlines are bold, but not intrusive. I really like how you outline in your still lifes. Cezanne did this too.) And your background is a criss cross of hues you don't have in the rest of the piece---ambers and browns, etc. It's a quiet peace, but a whole lot is going on in it. I hope you continue doing these still lifes, because they bring out your most intimate sense of color and stroke, and how they work with themselves. Zoomed, this is a beautiful painting, Helle.
