Description
Still at the Palace Gardens in Prague. There were colorful vines like this scattered throughout the gardens...

I really MUST buy another Parthenocissus!
very nice contrasting colors. I was surprised to get an ebot on this image. I hope Ren is resuming the ebot notifications.
When I read comments like Andrea's, I realize what a dunce I am when it comes to plants: I don't even know how to pronounce Parthenocissus! (Sounds like a bad infection for Parthenons...) ("sorry, the Parthenon can't come out today, it's got parthenocissus..." "oh god, not that!!! I had that last year and couldn't get rid of it for weeks...") Claude, it's another first-rate capture, with your angles wonderfully played off each other, the light and shade in wonderful contrast, your usual vivid hues---including that beautiful peach-flesh-pink, and the stark white contrast---beautiful detail on the shingles with the blue and white around them, and all spilled over by those beautiful vines lushly cascading down the shot. With your compositional sense, it's hard to believe you don't "make" these compositions---ie, go up there, move parts of the buildings, place the vines, all of it. You find and crop these compositions and bring them out with everything you have. Also, the orange shingles on the bottom are a beautiful frame to the shot, as well as a harmony with the diagonals above. Wonderful shot, Claude, I'd put it on my wall...
WOW... Fabulous !
Nice to have the ebots again! I love to look at your beautiful picture, but I hate to have vines growing on any property I am taking care of!
The color contrasts in this are amazing!
I'm imagining this as a 5000 piece jigsaw puzzle...;-} Great capture
They are stunning, those red vines; they are mesmerizing to me! This is an incredibly romantic sort of view, what a wonderful shot!
Une superbe cascade, comme une descente de lit....
Very good shot.
Stunning capture my friend. God bless.
