Description
Our friend Mike (Maxidyne) lost his beautiful wife to cancer last Thursday. I made this image for him. There is no way to make the pain go away but I wanted him to know that others are thinking of him and are here with any comfort we can give.

a pensive and beautiful memorial, and done without anything but love. My deepest sympathies to your friend. You've made a person at one with his deep mourning, pondering and searching, and beginning the journey to acceptance. You rendered him sensitively, and the flowers to his left are gentle reminders of beauty, as is the forest behind him. There's light in his room too, even a gentle orange light on him...which means there's light in the darkness. As a poet once wrote, I wish him much strength and openness as he moves slowly, gently from "mourning into morning". A beautiful image for one in loss.

I like the pose and expression of this person. They really convey that feel of galling pain deep within.
Sorry to learn about what happened. Losing a loved one can be a truly traumatic experience indeed. The least we can do is offer whatever kind thoughts we can to the bereaved.
There's just so much pain in this world. Let's do what we can to remove at least some of it...
