A beautiful photo, Mies.
But I am sure this is a Holly Blue, Celastrina argiolus.
I'd love to enter into the dialogue with you and Andrea, and say something like, "no, this is the Astralagus Monotrachea," but I don't know one name from another (and there's no such thing as an "astralagus monotrachea," I totally made that up!). But whatever it is, it's a stunning capture: You captured almost taffeta wings, and in such contrast to those yellows. A beautiful photo, with those spindly legs balancing so well on the flower tops. It seems almost impossible; but for an insect, those legs are probably very strong. Beautiful macro work, Mies.
Killer stuff
Fantastic colors and very beautiful picture !!!
Wonderful textures and details you have captured here!
I love the dusty-papery texture of those wings; such a wonderful shot!
