Description
Captured 9/27/15 @ 7:09 am, about 2.5 miles from home, while most other people were still asleep. Since it was on a Sunday, there were barely any vehicles to further enhance my photos. Fog is such a rarity around here, along with rain, that I was determined to snap a few shots before it burned off. And it doesn't take long to burn off with all our heat, which reached about 95 Fahrenheit degrees later in the day. Anyway, I'm usually near this very spot early every Sunday to do my food shopping at a market next to this street. That said, I love the mood ambience of fog, and try to take photographic advantage of its presence whenever it shows up.
Arrivederci.

Ah, good old "advection fog". Produced when air is advected (moved) from warm to cold surface. Common in California coastal areas in summer. Then along comes the heat of the day and burns off all this neat early morning fog. I know, I know, I don't really know much about this but it sounds good (to me).
Love the atmosphere you've created in your photo...the car squinting into the fog really makes this photo for me.
It gives such a lonely feeling, the fog, and the presence of only one car moving through it...marvelous ambiance. And a superb capture, Harry!
We don't get fog very often, either Harry. It certainly does have its own special ambiance, as your shot shows.
Superlative atmosphere in this well captured image !!!!!!!!!
I have always loved fog. It is muting the noice of everything just like snow does and gives a peaceful feeling. As a little girl, I sometimes went to the street at 5 in the morning, if I saw there was this fog. If I had asked, my parenst wouldnt have let a little girl at 6 go alone in the fog :) That is why I didnt ask LOL!
Fabulous shot my friend !
I'm a big fan of fog too & this captures the atmosphere perfectly...
F A N T A S T I C A R T !!!
Beautiful photo. We had several foggy mornings this summer. At a park near work there is a small pond with a bridge; and I kept telling myself, I need to take a photo of this; but of course, I haven't.
Just watch out for those people driving without their headlights on in the fog. Nothing like seeing someone in the earliest of daylight rolling down the road in a silver/grey car with not lights to see them.
