Description

September 22, 2015 Hello folks! I hope you've enjoyed my previous posts of the German Nashorn tank destroyer. I've just gone through my computer's Hobby folder and found a few more photos of the Nashorn which I had completely forgotten about. This photo was taken in 2003, in a sand box out doors with sunlight. It's sharp and clear. It shows the fantastic details in parts and painting. I also have a few photos of a second Nashorn while I'm building it, which may be of interest to some of you. I'll post them after this post. Enjoy!

German WWII armor is all so fascinating. Big drawback on this design was complete lack of overhead cover for the crew. We tried that with the M-10 tank destroyer during WWII and lost a lot of crew and vehicles mostly to indirect fire and enemy air although that was not a big threat toward the end of the war in Europe.
