Description
This is my first render with the Genesis 3 Female. I hesitated on getting the figure because of the massive amount of Genesis 2 content I posses, but there are things about the figure that made it very attractive. I will say one thing I noticed right off is that I don't miss Triax Weight maps. The figure is easier to pose and work with in posing. Just about the only thing that would make it a dream to work with would be an animation control rig --I know.... but a man can dream.
This is Iray with Imaged Based lighting from the DAZ Studio Iray HDR Outdoor Environments from DAZ3D. I did also use Beautiful Skin Iray Genesis 3 Female(s), and many thanks to Slosh for Genesis 2 Legacies for Genesis 3 Female: Classics.
I actually plan on taking the figures into Maya soon. I'm in the Iray for Maya Beta testing group and so I like the idea of being able to work with a familiar renderer with a tool more geared towards animation which is what I've always wanted to do. I may try Iclone first, but I really want to continue to work with Iray because it's won me over as my render engine of choice.

Brilliant work!!!Bravissimo!V:DDD.Hugsxx Whylma
Is it just me or did you render a picture that looks A LOT like an actual photograph I took 6 months ago of Death Valley. lol ;-) I couldnt believe it when I saw it. Awesome !
Great character by the way !!
I can't take the credit for the background. It's actually part of DAZ Studio Iray HDR Outdoor Environments. i literally was floored by how it came out. I just wanted the lighting. It was a happy accident, I assure you.
What is nice about the Iray domes you can rotate them and the figures shadows follow I see some shadows cast by the rocks and not by the figure plus her feet are floating inches above the rocks try going into the render setting in the environment tab go to ground turn Draw ground on set ground position from auto to manual set the ground origin Y up until it touches the feet adjust the ground shadow intensity until it looks right. Oh if you don't have the Draw settings set to NVIDIA Iray you will not be able to see what you have until render is completed, sorry if you already Know all this I'm just tring to help.
Thanks for the tip. I wasn't really going for accuracy --I was basically testing out posing and rendering for the new figure and the Beautiful Skins Iray Shaders I bought from DAZ3D. When it comes to posing, I will have to say that Genesis 3 is much improved from 1 and 2. A lot of folks are complaining about topology and whatnot, but I don't get hung up in any of that as long as she looks nice when rendered.
Definitely a powerful character and image!! ;-)
