Description
If you've ever cried while cutting up onions, then this story could be for you ;)) I have just peeled off another layer of my most recent and mysterious life style and that explains this cracked onion-skin pic here - aha !
***
Finally, I had the courage to resign from a casual/part-time job and despite loving what I enjoyed doing most - visual merchandising or call it what you may ? ... (window dressing mannequins or simply dummies, that's why they are called dummies, still can't dress themselves) ;P ...
actually it wasn't too much work for me at all, but I had a rather difficult boss (YES, just another 'big bully' - with an attitude to match!) To put it in a nutshell, 'IT' became rather a stressful situation and no amount of money earned, can compensate or buy my health and happiness.
To say the least it was an interesting 3 months and a load has lifted off my mind since and sanity reigns again - and in the words of Ren & Stimpy: "HAPPY, HAPPY, JOY, JOY" !!!
I am baaaaaaaaaaaack ;))
Cheers Brigitte/Gitti/Brit or just 'hey, you' ...

Great to see you back posting again! You made a fantastic use of color and texture in this image.
Never do what makes you unhappy. So glad to see you posting again Brigitte.
Great to have you baaaaaaaaaaaaack Brigitte and I guess that your ex boss was a woman !!! Your pic is appeeeeeling.
right on Jeff ! - and how did you guess ?
Glad you managed to escape the hypocritical angry midget's grasp...but, there might be some scaring...OUCH ! LOL Nice to see you posting again and this bright, but cracked little number looks cool ! ~Cheers~
Nice capture!
Congratulations, dear Gitti with this, only right decision, but also so difficult sometimes to decide that. But the gain is large. You escaped and have regained freedom, independence conquered by people who abuse you, right? I'm so happy for you, and for your feelings of: I'm back !!! Valuable girlfriend, your image splashed from my screen, it is purely and looks like victory. Lots of hugs for just 'hey, you', that special and brave woman!!! Love from the other side of the world to you. :)
well, ditto everyone above. And "hear, hear" to Mies---I second her comment. I'm so glad you got rid of a job with a boss who drove you crazy! I've had bosses like that, and I fully understand how it's like working with a boulder on your shoulders---it never goes away, never. I'm glad you got rid of her for once and for all. I hope you're ok with the loss of income, and I wish you well in finding something else, if that's your desire. You know, when one is doing what they love---ie, you doing window design and many other types of art---it's criminal that it's hampered by one lone jerk. We used to call them "the gatekeepers" of the arts---they're the ones who treat people badly and make art so uncomfortable. I hope your big creative mind and heart will find many other outlets. Glad you got rid of that crazy boss. As Hamlet said, "Fie on it! Ah fie!" This is a real Brigitte image. It's got the graphic feel you often get, it's not just an onion skin---in fact, I could've guessed about 10 other things before I read your description. It could be an exploding star, a pumpkin on a bad hair day, a weather balloon after a huge meal, a huge sofa cushion---the possibilities are endless. I love the blown-out saturated red, and the wild yellows. Given the background, it could be a super nova exploding in space. You do really bold things with images, and I love what you did with this---this is an onion skin declaring "I'm OUTA here!" Great to see you back anytime, anyway, Brigitte. I wish you everything good and inspired; and if that boss is reading this: "It's your loss, lady!" Wonderful upload, and great to see you here!
I am glad that you walked out of an unpleasant and stressful place, Brigitte! Good for you!!! Great to see your wonderful work, again!!! I am sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. Forget it! I am sure that you will enjoy peace and freedom! I wish you the best! Big hugs!
Glad to see you are happy again! Superb colors, amazing capture!
Fascinating comparison Brigitte ! Nice to hear you were able to escape the evil clutches of a stressful situation ! What a beautiful comeback, the brightly coloured and cracked onion peel looks really cool !
Glad to hear that you're regaining your sanity. It's never a good thing to keep working at a job that you don't like Wonderful image Welcome home
Knock, knock. Who's there? No one because I AM OUTTA HERE! Or as some East Germans once sang as they emerged from a tunnel under the Wall, "Freiheit! Freiheit! Oh how well I know the feeling. Good for you, Gitte, for having the courage to make the leap. In Hollywood there are two classes of people. There is the talent and there are the managers. Because those who can, do. Those who can't, manage. Oh, and the image is very nice. In fact it is superb.
Well, now that you have stood up tall and walked away, head held high I suspect, think Helen Reddy and start humming "I am woman" and roar. Congratulations for setting yourself free and push that onion peel right down the garbage disposal!
I understand! Best wishes. Thanks for your comment and info on bluebird. I am rising above. Almost a year and a half now since Bill died.
wonderful shot! Freedom! I love the smell of freedom with my morning coffee!
Good for you! Nobody needs that kind of grief. Glad you got out! :)
Great symbolism in your illustration. Love the color and then all the thought you've put behind it. Bravo for you. You are free and that petty tyrant is still stuck with himself/herself.
Yes, great desicion - congratulations to your new liberty! and congratulation to this wonderful onion photo and pw! Bravo Gitti!
Fantastic closeup and colors !!!
