Description
Back to the beautiful shopping carts. Target has one of the coolest.
These are all separate carts, captured randomly through the months of May and June of this year. The one on top was snapped at a mall, the others on or near sidewalks. They were all no closer than a mile from a Target Store. Some people.
Unfortunately, I never find them all stacked up neatly in extensive rows like I do with the 99+ Cent and Walmart carts.
Adels.

At least these are all upright; I used to find Safeway shopping carts on their sides or upside down all over the city in Concord. These look to be in good shape, despite being off their grounds. I don't really like to use the Target carts, they're too big and bulky and hard for me to steer. But that's just me. They make a good photographic subject with their cheerful colour and the pattern of perforations. Great job of capturing these roaming carts, Harry!
The illegal parking of Target shopping carts!!! Cool Capture!!
OH They are really neat and I am sure they are not so noicy as the metal carts :) All beautiful shots :) In Denmark we pay for them. You put a 10 or 20 kr´s coin into the lock and free the cart from the other cart in a line. You get your coin back when you connect it to another carts in the right place. It stopped getting alot of the carts left all over the area.
I like what helanker say and what they do in her country. cool shots
Interesting you don't ever seem to see people getting stopped by the police while pushing these carts off of the stores property. You do seem to see some in some odd places though, don't you. I recall seeing a Sears cart in a creek bed out behind the shopping plaza we'd pass by. It remained all summer/fall, and I imagine the spring's thaw and resulting ice flows managed to carry it down stream then. Great shots Harry, you caught a unique part of suburban life very well.
