ahhhh.. we don't have these runners in my country.. I only know them from movies
Superb capture Maria. The other day a watched a video on youtube how one of these birds take on a rattle snake , kill it and devours it. It was so amazing to watch the video. Here is a link to the video clip - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IvM3NJ_2fA God bless.
Great shot. "Wile E. Coyote: Now then, I can easily understand why it should puzzle you that a person of my intelligence, I.Q. 207 super genius, should devote his valuable time chasing this ridiculous road runner, this bird that appears to be so skinny, scrawny, stringy, unappetizing, anemic, ugly and misbegotten. Ah, but how little you know about road runners. Actually, the road runner is to the taste buds of a coyote, what caviar, champagne, filet mignon and chocolate fudge are to the taste buds of a man." A really nice bird, an excellent capture. I wonder if he really run as fast as his colleague from the cartoon?
Brilliant pic
ROFL!!!!! Every once in a while, one of these guys makes it this far north. It is always a surprise and delight to spot one. Fantastic capture!
LOL! Oh my, how i love his hairstyle! As a kid i loved watching the cartoons. A wonderful capture of this clever looking bird!
Superb capture!
Just the perfect shot and a wonderful zoom.
Great capture of this amazing creature....

Fantastic capture of this beautiful bird; I love that straight-up tail! They are so fun to watch, I used to see them in the desert when my folks lived there.
An amazing bird and a superb photo.
meep meep
I have only been close to one in Arizona as it was foraging for food people threw away. great capture. good it held still long enough to capture it
Meep meep? You've got to be kidding with this shot! I always thought that the Roadrunner was just a mischievous cartoon character. In any event, a fine photo of the rocket propelled avian with the long 45-degree tail, Maria.
wow this is cool
HA! I have never seen such one before, only in the hilarious cartoon :) Excellent shot :) MEEP MEEP !
What an absolute treat! A wonderful bird with a winning character, always a fast getaway too! So I bet it's hard to get a shot of in the wild?
