Thats certainly weird lol Great colour none the less, good POV as well Rob
I am very happy by seeing this varuiation ! splendid geometriocal result !!!
lol, I love that you picked the petal with the bug on it, for your kaleidoscope. The bug becomes an accent, like a snap or bolt. The top shot is splendid, big and bright, with deep orangey yellows. And a face-on pov, where it bursts out at us. (Not an easy pov, but you got it beautifully.) The background leaves seem to shoot out like a starburst, and nice detail on them, and wonderful deep blacks. In the filtered version, you got almost a fractal look, turning the background leaves into a wonderful geometric background; and the flower into a geometricized piece of graphic design. A beautiful variation, and it also has that bright yellow and red 'burst'---your variation uses the top shot's best qualities. A very pleasing bunch; and, considering the big differences between them, the two images complement each other extremely well.
