Interesting capture with a perfect perspective showing the effectful fountains also! Thanks for the inf ;o)
Great picture. My wife, son and myself visited there and it was such a chilling feeling seeing it. We registered her father since he did fight in WWII. We do plan to go back, there is so much history there.
I never really realized the scope of those people that served their country until visiting the Memorial in Manila. great capture
@stick. Yes! I agree. I only went through Washington, D.C. a couple of time in the early 70's on my way from Jersey to Florida. My major concern at the time was not to get stuck in rush-hour traffic. I am glad i finally went and saw all those sites. Awe-inspriring, humbling and leading to some time for reflection. I wasn't aware of how big (in area) the National Mall is, nor the size of the Washington Monument, or the Lincoln Memorial. I was also surprised at how recently the National World War II Memorial came into being.
Nice shot.
Very very well composed photo !!
a beautiful capture of a beautiful memorial
Beautiful image of this impressive memorial. This wasn't built yet when I was there.
A fantastic photo and it certainly looks bigger than some of the photos that I have seen!
