Description
One of my earlier shots of this manner of beast, captured back on 1/1/10, either early morning or late afternoon, at one of our local parks, I don't remember which.
Have a nice day.

What a large and imposing beast this is! I don't understand the engineering behind the design of these, but I'm sure there's a reason for the size and complexity. Great captures, Harry!
Amazing place and fantastic shots !
shots like this deserve many more comments. I think it's an other worldly beast. The top shot has such strong contrasts in light and hue. And the bleached whites and shadows set off so much around them. It's lined up and composed beautifully. And you have 2 padlocks---a twofer! (We got two series in one, here.) The pedestal on which it rests has that wonderful early/late light on it; and the whole shot really shines for me. In the bottom shot, we really get into the blues in the "white" (maybe it's a light blue shade rather than white). And we get the complicated music of pipes and lines, etc. A fascinating shot, with more fine formal language. Then I go back to number 1, and I'm taken in all over again. Fine work, Harry, and you caught the time of day beautifully too. That top shot has beautiful contrasts in it.
