Great capture my friend !!!
What a seriously cool piece of equipment! I would so love to have one of those for a while to work on several of our 150 ft-plus trees which are in need of branch trimming. And what a sterling capture you got! The overcast/foggy atmosphere makes it a natural high-key, and the DOF causes the orange equipment to jump right off the screen. Superb work, Harry!
wow, I love Denise's praise. I love the shot too, for the same reasons. I love that you've posted a number of big wheeled beasts, of late, in real urban settings---if one only knew of LA from your recent gallery, they'd think that LA does a plethora of construction and repair (and destruction too). With Denise, the high key does set off the saturated reds (oranges) and yellow. And the crane peaks at top, and then comes down---fine composition, with the tall trees adding vertical counterpoint....and more counterpoint in the white lines on the parking lot. You take to linear and formal counterpoint so well. And the car-angles also provide counterpoint. So your pure-white sky allows all the lines to speak clearly. Crazy-rich and I like the compact almost "cute" look of the chassis. These things come in all sizes and shapes, don't they! Really fine work, Harry.
