Very interesting insect and a beautiful, well composed image!
Very well taken !!!
It has such an attractive outfit, very smart! A shame in a way that it has to grow up!
Incredible macro work by a true photographic artists...
Super sharp capture Maria. God bless.
well spotted and captured
Cool capture Maria.
excellent...i want a suit like that
Superb shooting Tex, I agree with Andrea, it grows to a more drab colouration, what a shame.
Fantastic capture!
an excellent shot!
they consume other insects also do they not? I see them on occasion but usually when my camera is elsewhere
Everyone above seems to know about leatherbugs as if they were as common as the ordinary housefly, and I never even saw or heard of them before - the penalty of living in an insect-free environment. Other than that, a masterful macro of this handsome whitish colored critter, Maria.
very good micro
Magnificent photography Maria.
So pretty in this translucent phase! Lovely shot!
Lots of wing details in zoom - he is not that good looking so avoid the face in zoom!!!!!
