Eventually you run out of words. We are supposed to give you presents on your birthday. Instead you gave us this image. A truly extraordinary image. Happy birthday, Andrea. Looking forward to another year of your amazing art.
This is really wonderful and stunning.
Stunning, absolutely stunning; I stumbled onto a hotbed of activity for these last evening on my dogwalk! There was a large rock in the park next to a big hedge of blackberry and willowherb, and the fliers were all sitting in the sun on the warm rock. Of course when I and the dog got near the all flew up in the air and dispersed, but it was wonderful to see!
By Gum lass it be a big beast you almost didn't need the macro and it's lovely and sharp.
Terrific capture of this large fellow, biggest one I think I have seen...:))
btw, happy birthday once more! And this is another whale of a shot of these dragonflies, and this is as spectacular as the last. These two shots are knockouts...and in full-view, they are dazzling. The complexity of the insect body is amazing---all that hair in between the ceramic-like structures. And the gold sheen. And the wings, in this close distance, are truly lattice work. And it's sitting on one of those beautiful primal blooms, with those hairy dark purple buds. Again, in this perspective, the background seems vast, even though it's just a small space. Monumental, a knockout of a shot. When I first saw it, I thought, "what have I been missing!" I'm gonna fav both of these, they're terrific.
