Description
Back at the first of April, I posted a picture of a very little opossum. A few people have asked for updates. Well, as you can see, he is indeed growing up. Opossums are funny little guys. I think they are rather prehistoric. It is interesting, since "animals only act on instinct", that they have such different personalities. Some want nothing to do with me. Others try to bite when ever I have to pick them up. Others, like this one, will climb up in my hand and cuddle there as long as I will pet them. I had one that was an educational opossum. Furby would climb up in the kids lap. He would then make a great production of holding on to one of their fingers, clean it completely and then lay on his back for a belly rub.

He is a cutie. thanks for the update and the stories. I've noticed that the adults that I've seen, the live ones, can be very vicious and intimidating

Thanks for the update, Bev, and for the info about different personalities! I sure saw this in my 3 little (er, not so little) ratties. They were really 3 different personalities! I believe within the frame of their different species/anatomies, animals ARE just as individual as we are, though we don't see it and they have a problem conveying it to us humans since they can't talk human languages. Thanks again, and please keep us posted on his progress! :-)

Now who could not love a face like that? Glad to see this little guy has made it this far, and I am sure he will continue to grow with your able care! Your question of what did Opposums eat before their were cars is priceless as it forces people to realize they are wrong in their beliefs.
