this man name is Bozoo and he plays zydeco music. I saw him in Lafayette, La. a few years ago.

Your background here is so painterly: It feels like a thick curtain, or some kind of fabric. It's a fine backdrop to Bozoo, who is so immersed in his playing and singing. The background is almost chocolate in color. You painted the musician on an angle, and totally involved in his music. His glasses, and the dark shadows in his face, make his self-immersion all the more visible. And the accordion is painted in such deep blacks, with all those vivid saturated hues in it---the yellows and reds, mostly. Really vivid contrasts! And beautiful folds in his shirt (mainly with purples), and highlights in his fingers. This is a beautiful painting of a musician; and, with him on the left side and that chocolate-color on the right, you have real contrast here. Beautiful work. More masterful insight into musicians and their deep inner worlds...
