Description
Captured back on 1/29/12, late afternoon, at the beautiful well manicured Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Most of this stuff: benches, statues, etc., has been donated to the Rancho over the years.
Au revoir.

Oooh--I LOVE wicker and these pieces are gorgeous, as is your foto of them!!
It looks so pretty in the sunshine, all golden and warm; I can almost hear the creak you get when sitting in this stuff. Nicely captured, Harry!
Great lights and shadows... Fantastic shot !!!
beautiful rattan garden furniture ... beautiful pieces !!!
first, having nothing to do with the photo, I hate wicker: I got splinters from it as a child (because the relatives whose wicker chairs I sat in, never bothered to fix the broken strands...I could never sit in them again). But your photo has nothing to do with my experiences, and it's bathed in a deep reddish orange, a very late afternoon shot, full of repose and the reds that sunlight take on towards end-of-day---esp in winter, when this was taken. (Late afternoon, in summer, wouldn't show such reds.) The tones are all over the chair and table, and the ground as well. With strong light on the leaves in back. A striking study in light and hue; and you caught the tight weave of wicker very well---to where it looks almost like a fabric. I love the light in this shot. Really saturated and rich, Harry.
