Description
This Fort was formed about 2000 - 3000 years BC by ancient Brits and is situated in Devon near the town of Honiton.
This view was taken from a lay-by on the A30 road where there is an ice cream shop - delicious.
The farm vehicles were collecting fresh cut grass for silage making.
I would think more info could be found in your search engine if you were interested.
This will probably zoom well !!

Peaceful and beautiful now. Looking over the ramparts, I wonder what the defenders would have thought if they saw you sitting at a picnic table and eating ice cream? A very nice image.

Beautiful scenic shot, Jeff, and one can just imagine (looking at the farm equipment) those ancient ancestors cutting their harvest by hand.
It seems so exotic to have all this history just out for all to see in the common parts of everyday life; what a spectacularly lovely view!
A wonderful place and a fantastic view. Excellent shot Jeff!
Beautiful place my friend and marvelous landscape... Outstanding picture also !!!
great place to sit and eat. I like going to old places like this and try to think of the people that lived there before us
Google did find an interesting web site - who could battle up that hill?
Perfect view and place for a picnic Jeff - just the name (Dumpd-on) a bit of a giggle ... but such luscious looking grassland, great for cows, so where are they ? just checked what 'silage' is (?) now I understand (!) - it's home delivery for them ! ;)) (Sorry, I am just not a country gal !) ... BB
2000 years BC.. Says it all really, such History is why people come to this Country.. (At least Politicians can't take that away....yet!). Even the church where I live is over 900 years old.. Great shot mate, beautiful colours. Rob

Hi Jeff, what a wonderful view, and such interesting to know more about it; how I would love to once discover more about, and in the UK, but you never know, huh? ;-)
Great view and it sounds like a good parking spot.
