Description
At least that's what it was designated as on the site map.
Captured 4/12/15 @ 11:45 am, at the once beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful La Canada Flintridge, California.
If everything looks warm and dry in this photo, it was, and is. No Seattle arboretum here.
Have a nice day.

in my city, such constructions have been used to organize a beautiful rose garden !!! beautiful shot of a beautiful scenery !!!
Great shot of a wonderful gazebo!
Marvelous place and capture.... Wonderful image !!!
It's a lovely structure, and looks as if it was designed to support a myriad of blooming vines. The water shortage is going to put a severe crimp into that progress, no doubt. Excellent capture of this beautiful gazebo, Harry!
Very nice capture of this cool gazebo, Harry.
Isn't this just beautiful...both the gazebo and the roses! Very nice, Harry.
through your words here, and in some comments you've left elsewhere, I now know why you refer to this as "the once beautiful Descanso Gardens"---and I'm sorry it fell from grace. It was apparently a much more beautiful place than it is now. Dumbing down...It's a beautiful gazebo, stately and almost like a dome. Yet, sadly, there's a certain melancholy feeling to it, because it's so bare. I know this is only April, but I assume that there'd be more growth there since it's S. California: This sight brings home how hard this drought really hit. The gazebo looks skeletal, like a gezebo in an abandoned place. But, as a shot of its lines and shadows, and the stark land around it, it's another fine light-shadow shot from you, with forest around---even there we can see the bare branches. And mountains way back, too...A rich capture, with several different layers of nature in it; and, sadly, it really brings home what a drought can do...
'In the style of...' more likely, but none the less very impressive looking and better than some of the rubbish they are putting up here! Queen Victoria died in 1901 so its got be at least that old, and I suspect not mate.. Good shot though. Rob
