Credits: From my Beauty in Nature Collection, celebrating the exquisite tropical colors of a flamingo and anthuriums. Created in Photoshop, using a flamingo photo reference, modified Organica background by romanceworks, and painting techniques. Special thanks to Ilona Krijgsman for the use of her beautiful flamingo photo.
I've been in a tropical mood, really craving bright colors, because we are buried in mountains of spring snow right now.

ohhhhh my...and now we return to cosmic carol...This thing is positively swirling in sweeps and energies, and you've taken the lines and sweeps of the flamingo---here in an in-turned position (a beautiful sight to anyone who's had the fortune of seeing it in person)---into a big swirling mass of power and inner beauty. In the center of the flamingo, an almost mango-red, with flame like tendrils. Around it, the encircling whites and pinks of its outer fethers. You got the flamingo pinks, but they're on fire here. The leaves and pods around it are pulsing with energies, and the green leaves are like a sea. And on the bottom---more of your groundless ground---you have really luminous greens and some luminous pinks. The bottom almost has as much light as the top of the image (illumined ground). And the top seems to dissolve into an oil-paint sky of melding pinks, reds and whites---Turner territory. This is power incarnate, lots of in-and-out-turning energies, w/ very clear natural forms almost dissolving into pure surges and lights. Very powerful and beautiful. And the flamingo's one visible leg makes the whole piece seem like it's standing on a pedestal---as if nature 'presented' it to us. A very beautiful piece, Carol!
