Description
Captured 4/12/15 @ 10:33 am, at the once beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful La Cañada Flintridge, California.
One of the more unusual items I encountered while roving aimlessly through the Gardens. I have no idea whether this arrangement was permanent, temporary, or what it was intended for.
Have a splendid day.

I've found setups like this in public gardens, and usually it was always for a wedding; it's kind of fun to shoot the lines of chairs. Excellent capture of these shadowmakers and shadowholders, Harry, doing just that under the trees here.
Splendid perspectives here, good shot !!!
Fantastic shot. Beautiful play of light and shadows and the perspective is very well chosen.
As usual like in many of your image there is a great sense of composition !!!
Nice catch. Ever wonder how hard it is to set all those chairs up and actually have them be in a straight row? I wonder how angry someone would be if all the chairs had been rotated an equal number of degrees from where they were(i.e. 30, 45, 90, 180).
Amazing my friend !!!
A really fine shot of object and shadow, and esp with all that white (against all that brown and green). The chairs seem so stark, just sitting there---and yet the shadows invite them 'in' and make them fit. Fine shot of the spread of the chairs, and of the shadows, and the bright whites and the many-hued ground. With those trees above to 'ground' us---even though they're on top. (They give the scene a bucolic feeling.) I've seen chairs like this too, with no one in sight: I assume they're for concerts or weddings (as Denise said). But they're always strange, when seen stranded like this. I like H.FadesEternal's suggestion of turning these chairs in different angles (to see what people would say). And I agree with Giuliano (guilband) "as usual like in many of your images there is a great sense of composition!!!" Ditto. More fine work on subjects that wouldn't attract many photographers. Harry, I wanted to start 90 minutes ago, but RR was doing 'maintenance'---that's what popped up everytime I went to it. So we couldn't get on the site. But, now, time is crunching me. I have to say hello to a few artists I haven't visited recently, and then run. But I'll be back for a long session in your gallery in the next few days. This session (over half an hour, at least) was still terrific. I'll do more soon.
