Description
Captured 4/12/14 @ 1:11 pm, at the once beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful La Cañada Flintridge, California.
One of two ducks that I encountered at the Gardens; maybe there were others but I didn't see them. There were squirrels and frogs/toads about, some of which I caught on camera.

you've posted a number of duck shots recently, and I've noticed some with strong surroundings around them. In this, the water is stunning---it's like he's in a sea of rippling plastic, like acrylic. Beautiful effects. We can see his feet, but those waves, and the smooth swaths of reflection, and the swirly flat areas next to the agitated broken-up areas---they're just beautiful. In the center, a duck with bright lights, strong contrasts, luminous green, etc. The tail is beautiful too. A very sharp and perceptive duck shot, with a surrounding that's painterly and magical. Maybe he's not confused, as Denise suggests: Maybe he's just so taken by the beauty you caught and postworked around him, that he just doesn't want to move. Terrific job on this, it's really beautiful.
Quack Quack as I believe it may say.. Cool shot and I'm sure it is as well, if you fell in .... I don't advise that though.. Neat photo. Rob
