another of your studies of highly varied exteriors, which have no pretense by themselves (they're often 'plain' by themselves), and yet they emerge as scintillating almost-abstract-art, in your sensitive hands. You have a real way with these subjects. I know you're in Michigan, but scenes like this could be anywhere in this country; and, with a few cultural changes, almost anywhere in the world. You've paid as much attention to scenes like this as you have to your lusher richer nature shots. This is gritty, but aesthetically very attractive, in the bleached light on the wall and other surfaces, in the deep shadows (which usually accompany bleached light), in the vivid hues of the cans in front---that blue and black make a strong contrast---in the heavy rust-hues of the concrete (in front of that door) or the sooty brick protrusion on the right, etc. A very rich image for all its emptiness, totally unapologetic, and showing real understanding of such scenes. And by "totally unapologetic" I mean visually. (Now I gotta explain myself!) I mean that many photographers will "pretty-fy" such scenes, treat the images to a more cosmetically acceptable do-over. But photos like this, in your gallery, have no do-overs---you show them as they are, no visual apologies given (because none are required). And your images are all the finer for it. Really fine work!
