Description
The Rape of the Sabine Women is one of the most ancient legends of the history of Rome.
Romulus, after founding Rome, calls on the neighboring populations (mainly including the Sabines) to receive women as brides to populate the new city. The neighbors refuse then the Romans organize a grand ceremony by inviting the inhabitants of the region. But during the party kidnap unmarried women.

Both the composition, and the separation of the sexes into gold and silver add vitality to a scene that to my eye is all about the mixed emotions of the Sabine women -- horror, shame, humiliation and, perhaps, a measure of lust. Amazing!

Very great render. I too was wondering why these ugly rapist had to be gold and the poor women only silver? I also think, if the men actually looked as good as they do in your render, they would have had some success without resulting to rape.
