Wow, that is some incredibly impressive building design! That's from when they really knew how to make a building beautifully...fantastic capture, you did a grand job here!
I don't know the proportion of architectural work to nature shots, in your gallery, but each time you dive into architecture, you show how deeply you commune with it. The structure here is striking on its own; but you've captured the 'wall' feeling of buildings against a river, and how the trees rise up to cover it. That looks like a Mansard roof, but Mansards have two slopes, one much shorter on top, one much longer on the bottom; and I don't see an upper slope here. But if it's just a sloped roof (gambreled I think is the word), it doesn't matter: It's an amazing slope! Very high and majestic, with those tall chimney-structures coming out of it. Quite a presence; and your composition---with a few people below to give us the scale---lets us feel the looming presence of it, as it pushes right up against the line of the water. An imposing capture. Shots like these are where I'd love to see you with a flagship camera, with very high resolution, because the detail would make your work even more stunning than it is. Love the shot. And such placid skies above all this ornate work in Paris...
