Description
Did you know that stamina was the plural of stamen? I didn't until I stumbled onto it while doing a crossword puzzle a few months ago. Improving my vocabulary isn't the primary reason I do crossword puzzles (which is that I enjoy the challenge & mental exercise), but it's a nice side benefit. BTW, stamens is perfectly acceptable too, but not nearly as elegant...
