Description
Captured 5/8/11, at the beautiful Fullerton Arboretum in beautiful Fullerton, California.
I circled this arboreal giant for various shots of the trunk.
Lots of arcane trees at this site.

Outstanding captures my friend and fabulous tree also !!!
Impressive tree! Great captures!
What an incredibly impressive tree! Stunning captures all, Harry, you did this one proud!
you didn't just circle the tree for varying views, you gave a progressive montage, ending with a beethoven-like climax. I love the progression, and you captured the deep muscularity of these trunks, as well as the lava-like spill of the roots (or the tops of the roots). The top one looks almost plastic in nature, or carved in stone; the middle one is like the entry to a great cave, I love the shadows and the textures. And the bottom one is a closeup of the "entrance"---this could be from a film of a mythic kingdom, where these trunks are the entry to a mysterious kingdom. And the bottom one has very restful shadows too. A place of repose; and it seems made of stone too. A beautiful capture of the structures and textures of this beautiful tree; and the progression leads to a powerful conclusion. Really well done, Harry. A real beaut.
Impressive, shady, GREEN and really lovely to see.. Well taken.. Won't be long before they hack it down.. They do here.. Lovely mate Rob
