Captured 2/21/15, early morning, not far from home.
Like, this is in violation of California Vehicle Code A § 22514, which states, "No person shall stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle within 15 feet of a fire hydrant..." And whether or not there are signs or red curb, the City is not required to designate the area in front of a fire hydrant as a no-stopping zone. It is generally City policy not to install signs for situations that are already addressed in the CVC.
So there!!! Even so, the driver probably got away Scot free. With my luck, if I tried this, I'd be nailed in five nanoseconds.
Oh, and I don't believe the vehicle had any license plates. Nice car, though.
Toodles.

Owned a blue one of these Camaro's in UK for 10 years where they are not an every day sight. Thanks for the memory goodoleboy :)
strange situation for this car before a fire hydrant and with not mineralogical plates !!! a stolen car ??? excellent !!!
Mineralogical plates? That's a new one on me.
You echo my thoughts on this one, Harry. Some people can literally get away with anything and have little regard for everyone else.
Yes, some are lucky and do not get caught when they park incorrect. I definitely get guaranteed a ticket when I park my car wrong. In Germany it is prohibited to park a car without license plate on the street. The city administration sticks a note on the front window and when the car is still there after two weeks it will be removed. In any case, a superb shot and I like the car.
Fantastic capture my friend !
Well, it makes a wonderful colour combination; lucky if he didn't get ticketed, though. An excellent find and photo, Harry!
That beautiful door will surely get dinged when the passenger opens it - a definite NO NO !! (I drove a midnight blue Camaro of this type for years.)
Even I know this one, you don't park by or near a hydrant unless you are a New York Cop! Great looking car. Rob
