Description
We found an injured dragonfly on our doorstep during a cold evening. She was having trouble flying so we brought her inside for the night. Her right eye has a dent in it. The next day was warm and sunny when we took her outside and off she flew. This is the best photo out of all the photos that I took. She zooms better! Not really happy with the Nikon that I bought during the summer.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Great image! You was very kind with him, God bless you, Dana!
beautiful dragon fly. I brought in a Blue Skipper butterfly a few years ago when it was too cold for it to survive the night. the next day it went on it's merry way
good capture of it my friend, wonder if it made it ok and how it's eye got that way.
Fabulous capture!
great macro
Great that it flew again!
It was very kind to take this guy in for the night - I assume you wouldn't do the same for an alligator :) Nice capture!!!
Not even a baby!!!!!!!

Very good of you to give it every chance of life Dana. Great shot.

Excellent portrait of your visitor, and I'm glad it was able to fly away the next day!
She has chance to fall near to your house; she's lovely! Have a good day!
Love those bugs :)
I've heard of taking in injured birds and things but this is a new one.
wonderful macro
I like the emerald green and the stucco looks like some sort of weird exotic bread ! So, do I call you the Dragonfly Doctor now ? LOL A dud Nikon ?...didn't know they did that...hmm... ~Cheers~
A one eyed dragon fly! Must make it difficult to flight straight.
Thanks to you he could go back flying in the sun, and I'm glad you showed us these lovely photo; the front looks great, f.e. the feet and nose, splendid in zoom, but such pity of that one eye, huh? I have to think of your story, that you once on a Sunday after leaving church, that you saved a turtle, and brought it to your pond, right? You really are such a caring person, Dana, in many ways. God bless you, my friend.
Dragonflies are such fascinating and beautiful insects, with their tinsel wings that almost look like little stained glass windows. :) I remember once holding a live one in my hands; it was whirring away like a miniature dynamo. How were you able to tell this one was a female, by the way? :D
fantastic macro and stunning details! lucky you to get such an excellent shot! I tried but had no success! ;o)
