Description
The weather in the Valley (Phoenix) was beautiful. No clouds, temperature low to mid-80s (~28-29C). So I put the top down and decided to go for a drive. Even in the High Country, along Route 66, the temperature was around 72-73F (~22-23C). Driving along Route 66 between Seligman and Kingman, with Burma Shave signs along the road (something I hadn't seen since going through Missouri and Kansas in summer 1963 while on a Greyhound bus fresh out of Tech School at Chanute AFB, Illinois and on my way to my first PCS station in Payne Field, Washington), I stopped at Peach Springs and Truxton to take a few pictures. By the time I came back home, 101/2 hrs and 830 miles (~850 km) later, I realized that I gone a little further than I had meant to.
This picture was taken on 8 February 2015 along State Highway 89 between Wickenburg and Yarnell,

Ich liebe die Technik in den neuen Autos. Aber mit dem Charme der Oldtimer kommen sie nicht mit. Ich hoffe, ihr hattet eine schöne Zeit in Europa.
