Description
Fear gripped her heart as the minotaur scooped her up from the meadow floor. She knew their reputation... brutish, pitiless, murderous.
But his manner was gentle and soft as he held her in his massive arms and as she looked into the beast's eyes, she sensed that he was somehow
not like his brethren and her fear began to vanish.
"Do not be afraid", the beast said, "I will not harm you, Lilith."
"I'm not frightened now, I... ... ... Wait! How do you know my name?", Lilith sputtered.
"All will be revealed in due time, my dear. But first we must get to safety.", said the beast.
"There are other minotaur about that would hurt you and the men hunting them that would also kill me."
As she lay back in the warm cradle of his arms, Lilith wondered what her future held. What fate did the
beast have in store for her.
