Description
Captured 1/27/15, mid day, from within the comforting confines of my usually congenial condominium complex.
Original on top, just for the record.
I took four shots looking into the sun with my point-and-shoot camera, and this was the only one that came out with a decent composition.
Enjoy the Super Bowl.

Absolutely fabulous... Great manipulation and fabulous result my friend !!!
Wonderful work, Harry; those clouds look like they squeezed out every bit of extra moisture that they had for you!
Great work once again, Harry. I also have to say my favorite is the 5th one.
Great series and elaboration !!!
Neat job Harry, I do actually like the 3rd one down best.. Great variety! Rob
I'm going back to chronological commenting, this session, to catch up on older images...and I'll go till my arm gives out. (It's better but still not ready for a full return here. But I should be able to do a full session in your gallery this morning---there're a lot of gems to attend to here!) This one strikes deep in my visual heart, for the play with a basic image, and peering into it via hue. The top shot is a beautiful cloud shot, with the bottom of the sun casting its magic on the cloud edges. And a dash of trees down in the corner. You've played off of the tones and morphs in the variations. The 2d is deep in rust reds, and the light has been rendered somewhat creamy, viscous. Very subtle work, I really like it. The 3d has more subtlety, in the starbursts you've placed in only a few places---very subtly done, to not give in to the temptation to put them everywhere (I'd have to stop myself, believe me): They're very effective in the sun and a few places in the clouds. Otherwise, it's looks like the original. Subtle work, Harry. The next image is a sandy dusk-beige with reddish undertones, with more silken textures in the light. And the final one makes me feel right at home with the rainbow hues. You let them take over the shot with real ease and grace, with panache and flow. Your choice to include only a snippet of the sun in these shots is just right. A really fine set; and a fine example of subtlety and control in the service of beauty.
